DROP RESOURCE POOL
SingleStore Managed Service does not support this command.
Drop the specified resource pool.
Syntax
DROP RESOURCE POOL pool_name
Remarks
pool_name
: The name of a resource pool.SUPER
privileges are required for dropping a resource pool.
Open connections to a database are assigned to a specific resource pool (or default_pool
if no other pool is selected). Before dropping a resource pool, you should set resource_pool
to another value; otherwise only DDL commands can be run from those connections until a new resource_pool
value has been set.
You cannot drop the built-in resource pools. You also cannot drop a pool that is the default startup pool for a user.
This command must be run on the master aggregator (see Node Requirements for SingleStore DB Commands).
Example
This example assumes that the resource pool test_pool
exists and that you want to drop it.
Before dropping test_pool
, set the current resource pool to a value other than test_pool
:
SET resource_pool = default_pool;
Then drop the test_pool
:
DROP RESOURCE POOL test_pool;
